Hi,

it's a laptop, although it has great specs, their are great chances it will be outdated within 2-3 years unless the computer.
But it depends on what games you play and @ what quality / resolution.
And that if it doesn't suffer from overheating.

I hate laptops because everything is crammed in there and it gets dusty in like a year or 2 and it creates heat problems. But if you open it up and clean it once a year, it will be fine. And yes it will do the job. You might have to use High quality vs Ultra High after 2-3 years but it's still good.

Yes, I agree. In general laptops can't keep up as well simply because they are a small form factor and the parts that matter the most can't be upgraded down the line (cpu/gpu). From the specs you have listed there, you should be fine for maybe 2 years, but its always hard to tell. To play at 1080p, you're already going to have to turn down certain settings like AA for particularly intensive games such as Far Cry 3, Metro, and Crysis 3. Same can be said for certain other AAA titles down the road.

If you're looking for what your bottleneck will be - its going to be your gpu that will limit you first. It's a great gpu though, so I wouldn't be too worried.

Also, make sure its as well ventilated as possible - heat will probably be your biggest enemy once dust gets in and/or the fan/heat sink(s) starts to be less effective.

Glad we could help!

It depends on what kinds of games you're interested in playing. There's FPS games like CoD, BF3, Crysis 3, Metro, Splinter Cell. More open world games like Far Cry 3, Saints Row IV. Strategy games like LoL, SC2, Civ5. There's a ton more, too. Just go through Steam's list of popular games and see what peaks your interest.
