Motherboard too thin?! (Picture included)

Hi,

I have a Gigabyte H87-HD3 motherboard and a Corsair Carbide 300R case. It seems as if the the motherboard is too thin and it won't reach the mounting holes at the far right (see picture).

The board bows every time I attach the 24pin cable and USB 3.0 header etc.

The retailer suggests the board to be regular ATX, and the 300R supports both M-ATX and ATX.

Am I just being very stupid or is this a manufacturing fault?

Sorry for the picture quality and thanks for your input.

Solution
The board in question is only so wide so you only use the other two rows of mounting screws or 6 total. Common with budget boards.

Unfortunately, I need to get a new board anyway. I have an unlocked Haswell CPU, and need a Z87 chipset motherboard to support overclocking.

Thanks for your response, you've been a great help.
