Yeah GTA4 is a hog and a bad port. It is very tough to run on lower spec equipment. From the sound of it, your PC would need a complete overhaul to get this running. I had an i5 with a 6670 and couldn't get it to run till I replaced the GPU :-/

The RESC10 error is a videomem error. There are a few ways to drop features to lower the video memory usage, but considering the rest of the system, I don't think it'll be very playable anyway. If lowering all the details and AA on the game doesn't help, try this:

Go to your NVidia control panel and disable GPU PhysX, set rendered frames to "0", and set to single monitor compatibility mode. Seems to have helped for others but like I said, between the OPs system memory, CPU, and GPU combination, it may not be very playable anyway.

Meh, depending on what it is paired with. A PC is only the sum of its parts. 650s are ok for the low end. The boost model can be competitive at 1080p with some detail tweaking and lowering, but the base 650 is aging and ok for low res and detail gaming. But like I said, GTA4 is a hog and a bad port :-/ So even on some well equipped systems it runs like crap lol

Well that is what the game was made for, the consoles lol. When games made for consoles are ported badly to PC ,we get performance issues like in GTA4. In Darksiders 2, the console versions runs smooth and great, but the PC version on my gaming PC (which ain't a slouch lol: OCd i7, GTX770, etc.) runs like crap and skips frames constantly. It's all about optimization, and games optimized for consoles just don't run right on PC unless proper care and due diligence is taken in porting them over :)

Shoot, there is just as big a problem with torrenting on consoles as there is on PC. It's not quite as easy, but GTA5 was up for the 360 on torrent sites 2 weeks before the game was actually released lol
