Right now I run BF3 maxed at 60 FPS on low settings, partly due to running on 1440x960. Will I still be able to achieve this in BF4?

I have heard that this video card (AMD Radeon 7970 - Click Here) is supposed to be very good for BF4, if I were to upgrade to this how much of a performance boost would I see? Would it even be compatible with my motherboard?

Please throw more tips at my way since I am not really literate in building and modifying computers. My budget would most like be at most $500.

Thank you,
Cameron

Upgrade the RAM to 16GB and the GPU to GTX 760 and you're good to roll. You will be able to run BF4 at 60FPS in HIGH/ULTRA @ 1440x960 for sure.

Is the R9 going to make that much of a difference?

Hi John,

With your solution, would I need to overclock my PC to get those results in your opinion?

The R9 290X is rumored as being faster than Nvidia's Titan(I'll believe it when i see some official benchmarks). The R9 280x is a rebranded 7970. Either way it will probably drive down the cost of other cards and it should happen before BF4 is released on the 29th.

Not at all but overclocking still helps but 2500k is still a solid CPU even in stock clock. :)
