Stuck in laptop mode in a desktop with GTX 670?

1. I cannot use adaptive vsync. GTX 670
2. It has the optimusim thingy where you can switch between GPU and IGFX which is a laptop thing I think. Please help me here on how to switch it to desktop

try this

right click on your desktop to get the popup -> select NVidia Control Panel -> click "Manage 3D settings" -> on the "Global Settings" tab you will have the "Preferred graphics processor:" -> select the processor you plan to use from the drop down menu

It uses the GPU by default. Still stuck in that mode
