Hello, I have an i5-3350p and an MSI GTX 760 4gb GPU and 8gb of ram. Now I like to play all my games while recording with Fraps, but I'd like to stay at a constant 60 FPS at 1440p. And I'm getting around 30-40 on Ultra Maxed settings on Borderlands 2. So my question is would an i7-3770 help or what other upgrades are needed to fulfill my request. Also I install my games on a 250gb Samsung 840 ssd and then record to a Seaggate Barracuda 1TB 7200 rpm HDD.

Meh, I would say just get a 780. Sli can cause hassles, afterall. And you don't need a new motherboard, Either. Important notice though, I would overclock the CPU a tad because it will definitely help your FPS. Because your CPU is a pretty good one, but the 780 is a beast so there might be a tad bottleneck. I would recommend this gpu -

Good clock speeds, good quality, and a great cooler. You could probably squeeze a bit more out of the gpu with a cooler like that.

I wouldn't spend your money on the i7-3770, it's more expensive due to hyper threading which games don't use. I would recommend the i5-3750k, resonable price and a great cpu for gaming. You can also overclock it very nicely with a decent cooler.

(Overclocking your video card a bit would help too, turning your gpu fan speeds up helps alot if you get higher temps with overclocking)

Sorry, but that's not the question I really asked. Is going from an i5-3350p to an i5-3570k really going to give me 20-30 more FPS? I would please like to know what upgrades can get me to recording any game at 1440p at maxed settings, while maintaining 60 FPS. By the way, know it's a difficult task. Thanks for the quick reply though :)

Np, you could try getting another 760 and running them in sli, or get a better card. It would probably be better to get another 760 instead of another video card, though. An overclocked i5-3750k could boost your fps, but not to that extent. The video card would be the best option

Well my motherboard doesn't support sli, it's a B75M-DGS. Therefore, should I buy a new one, or should I get a beefier graphics card? Also don't some games have trouble with sli?

Some games, but most are usually good. What is your price range to upgrade, so I can decide which option would be best?

Alright, thanks very much, my motherboard also isn't capable of overclocking, lol. So I think Imma sell the 760, keep the i5-3350p, and buy a GTX 780. Also I'll use like Gamebooster and see if that sqeezes a few more FPS. Have a good one :D
