If you raise the budget a bit this would be good: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... I would not recommend and FX series processor lower than that, so its that, or a discontinued Phenom II. Either way, a larger budget is needed.

At present, I don't think they start at that low of a price. The FX-4100 can sometimes be found for $90, but I don't even see that right now. What processor do you have now and what board?

The FX4100 can be had for $90 if you catch it on sale. That would definitely be the best for the price. If not, you can get a phenom ii x4 965 for that but they are harder to find.

The 4100 and 4130 are pretty much identical. That should work just as well.

I'd increase the budget a tad and get the 4300. More performance for almost the same price. The best CPU you can get for that socket is the 8350 but the 6350 has the best price/performance ratio

The FX-6300/6350 is a really good gaming CPU for $110-$120. Maybe the best at that price. I've built 2 budget rigs with the FX-6300 and both were great matched with a good card @ 1080p

If that's the most you can afford, then that is OK. What gfx card will it be matched to? What resolution is your monitor?

When it comes to gaming, all the benchmarks point to the same thing. The FX 4130 performs the same as the Phenom II x6 series and the Phenom II x4 970 Black Edition. All these processors perform at almost the exact same rates in gaming so yes it will be decent but if you can squeeze out enough for the FX 4320 i'd do that. It's basically a 4 core version of the FX 8350
