Hi I am getting a GIGABYTE GA-970A motherboard what type of psu should i get ATX,Mid ATX,Mini ATX??

The PSU would really be dependent on your case. Match the PSU to it and your power needs for your rig. Also, you should probably look into a modular or semi-modular design. It's not a must, but it helps with a cleaner build.

Absolutely. A lot of people tend to overlook the PSU as a critical component of their build, not realizing that a lower quality one can fry components. Take a look at this post and choose one of the higher tiered ones. It may cost a little more but the peace of mind is worth it.
