Hi there , i got a Asus P8Z77-V LX motherboard and i would like to change it to a Asus Z87-PRO.Is it worth it?Should i change it or just stick to the Z77?

Solution
there are three things you need to look at moving from a z77 to a z87 board.
1) new z87 board
2) new cpu. z77 is a 1155 socket z87 is a 1150 socket
3) new copy of OS. old one will be tide to the old z77 board

for me the price to performance is not worth it if your gaming. your best move is to upgrade the videocard with a gtx 770 or 780, I like NVidia so that's what im going to recommend I don't know amd at all so someone else will have to chime in on that.

Both mobos have the same socket, my rig is:
Motherboard:Asus P8Z77-V LX
CPU:I5 3570k
RAM:Corsair Vengeance 8GB @1600
Videocard:EVGA GTX 660
PSU: OCZ 750W

edit: i use this rig for heavy gaming , no editing or such.

In the beginning i wanted to build a whole new rig , so replacing every components, however in the end it turned out that there is no any kind of benefit to get a i7cpu , upgrade the ram to 16gigs altough im gonna get a GTX770 and im not sure if my current mobo is good enough for this?Im not an expert so i hope someone can help me out.

ah i see , yeah its my bad i thought the z77 has 1150 but it has 1155.Thanks for the answers so probably im just gonna upgrade my VGA and thats all.

edit:the 770 is much cheaper and there are like 3-4 fps differences in games so im gonna get the 770.
