For the past 2 weeks, as much as one time in one day, my computer gets BSOD after a small freeze while using Firefox.
In event viewer there are some errors saying that it is a hardware error:
A fatal hardware error has occurred.
Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: Bus/Interconnect Error
Processor ID: 2

And there is another error:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xfffffa8004d8f708, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\Minidump\100113-39047-01.dmp. Report Id: 100113-39047-01.

If you want i can give you the details from any of error in my event viewer.
I play 2-3 games but i don't get a BSOD. Also i browse with chrome and i get no BSOD. But the rest of my family members use Firefox and get BSOD. My cpu is overclocked for about 2 years.

My system:Intel Quad Core 2.66 Ghz OCed to 3.0 Ghz, Nvidia Geforce 560 non-Ti, 2X2GB Ram @ 375 Mhz, Asus P5KPL-AM EPU, Seagate HDD 500 GB (windows), Western Digital HDD 600 GB and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1

I hope you can help me, as it is very annoying and im worried about my computer.
Thank you in advance!

on an older pc it could be a bad ram stick or a sign of the power supply failing or a bad part on the mb. start with running memtest from a boot disk over night see if there any ram issue. open the pc up blow the dust out and check that everything seated and the cpu fan is moving. on the mb look for any leaking or bulging caps. use mozal back up back up firefox profile and uninstall it and reinstall the newest version to rule out damaged file.

I ran memtest but only for a half an hour. I am going to test it again and leave it more. I reinstalled and installed again firefox but it didn't help. I am going to blow the dust out and check for any bad caps and i am going to inform you.
Thank you for your reply.

Zip all of the files that are in your User's Firefox profile folder and move the zipped file to your desktop. If you don`t have Piriform's "Crap Cleaner" (ccleaner.exe) get it; in the "Application" tab of Crap Cleaner put a checkmark beside all 9 Firefox items. That will enable you to boot Firefox without going into Safe Mode. In the Menu under Tools, Options, General, dialogue box "Startup" select Show a Blank Page. Then under Tools, Options, Advanced, General, Browsing, UNCHECK the box so hardware acceleration will not be used. Click OK. This should solve your problem; I have 4 laptops, 2 desktops and only my brand spanking new Alienware had this BSOD problem. I even swapped out the video card twice and reseated RAM cards with no joy :( The only solution was achieved as described above. (After the fix I restored all of the files from my zipped file and still have no problem so that is good!) fwiw I believe the problem is the combo only of "hardware acceleration plus Startup option of show my windows and tabs from last time". Good luck; I'm on the road and do not have time to browse this forum but I'll try to check back in case this doesn't work for you
