the problem is that i formatted it to the hopper on dish box theres where all my files went so still unable to reformat 32 gb back to computer status only showing .99 gb

Thanks for putting me wise, Monica, but since I don't use a hard drive with my cable equipment I can't offer any help.
Hard drives inside (or plugged in to) computers, that's my thing.

I plugged it into the cable box - hopper is what the cable receiver is called.
