I've been messing with the Catalyst Control Center for the last day and I'm hooked. I want to try multiple screen gaming, and being quite a geek, want to do everything myself. I have a laptop and a TV set up at the same resolution, but I cannot see a setting for Eyefinity anywhere. So, where can I find it, and how do I work it?

Solution
Eyefinity is the name of an AMD technology that allows a graphics card solution to spread it's display across three or more monitors. Using just two monitors is called either Clone Mode (desktop is duplicated across both monitors) or Extended mode (the second monitor is an extension) to the primary desktop.

For just two displays, there is no setting for Eyefinity. If you're using Windows 7, try pressing the Windows + P key combination.

gaming on two monitors is not a good idea even when using a desktop because of the bezels going right down the middle of the screen. your doing a laptop and tv and im guessing the tv is not right next to your laptop. this is going to be very hard to game on since you will be moving our head a lot to look at both screens.

there should be a setting that extends your desktop across both screens. so instead of having 1920x1080 it would be 3840x1020. you also need to look at your gpu in your laptop and see if it can ever run that big of a resolution and keep up good fps.

there is a way to do it on two screens. I googled it on day because my friend wanted to play SC2 on both screens. after about 10min of playing he was so pissed off at it he switched back to one screen. It really isn't a good idea to play on just 2 screens.
