New to building a gaming PC

Hi, im new to building high end PC's and was wondering whether you could take a look if the parts ive chosen will work together and give me the best performance.
I've chosen a 4GB GPU as i plan to SLI in the future.

Change the PSU to an XFX, COrsair, Seasonic unit.

I personally do not like closed loop coolers at all. Very noisy.

If this is for gaming change to an i5. Get an i5 4670k and a z87 motherboard.

Why win7 ultimate?

I agree on the CPU and Motherboard. There are also several models from Antec and Silverstone that are great PSUs.

As for the closed loop cooler, since you're buying from the UK I would highly recommend the Swift Tech H220. Quieter than any high performance air cooler and performance surpasses any other all in ones liquid coolers. A bit more expensive but well worth it with the best support team I have ever dealt with.

And Win 7 Ultimate is pointless unless you need/want more than 16 GB of ram.

Also get a 240gb ssd as ur main HD.

Which also adds 130-160ish to the price. Although if within budget its a great idea. However the main advantage is for boot. There is honestly (In my Case) not much difference in game load times from my SSD to my external 3.0 USB Drive.

Thanks for the responses, i was given windows 7 ultimate from a friend.
Also with the z87 motherboard there are a number of manufacturers to choose from with different models, could someone please link the best one to go for. I have selected a few but not 100% sure what to look for in motherboards. for example the gigabyte doesnt have raid support is that something that i need?
