Is it a good idea to overclock an SLI configuration?

Sorry, I just created an account on here and I'm not sure whether this thread has been posted before. I'm currently making my 1st build and I just want some advice. I will get two MSI GTX 760 TF tomorrow. Is it wise to over clock my video cards?

Corsair HX850
i5-3570k 4.4GHz with Hyper 212 evo with sp120 fans
16GB G.Skill 1600
Asus PZ788-V LK motherboard
Samsung 840 120GB SSD
WD 1TB HDD

I have OC'd my SLI 670's a bit, temps did not go crazy on me, although the setup of the cards I have help keep each other cool, one blower type one exhaust, and I also have quite a bit of airflow in my case. However, I do not keep the OC on all the time, if I am pushing a pretty heavy game I might clock em up a bit.

I'm just air cooling my computer at the moment. I didn't want to water cool for my first setup. So is it recommended to leave the video cards at stock clocks?

Thanks for the fast replies. I will probably see when I get them tomorrow and test out the temperatures. I'd there's headroom for OC then I will slightly OC. If not I will leave them at stock. 760 sli should be pretty good for the current games correct? (i.e. Battlefield 4, Crysis 3, etc.)

Should be fine for light oc's even on air as long as you have good case ventilation. I found it was more the build up of hot air in between the 2 cards that used to cause me problems as opposed to just the increase in temp from the overclock.
