Solved

When I start up my computer my fan makes some noise, after about 20 seconds it stops.

So basically the issue is when I start up my computer it's almost as if the fan needs about 20 seconds to get going, it makes a noise kinda like a stuttering or something, then after about 20 seconds it goes away. Is this an indication of a fan about to die or just a fan in need of some grease or something? It is a brand new build, so yeah o.O

I would suggest a new fan. I have a fan in my room (not a case fan I know) that has been running 24/7 for some time. It does this very same thing. I think it's due to the fan motor becoming worn. If the fan is brand new, try RMA'ing it.
  2. sorry.

Yeah I have a floor fan I use in my bedroom and it sounds the same as the case fan I have. It takes about 30 or 40 seconds to get going and the grinding goes away. I just can't believe my brand new case has a dying fan already :P

It happens, send the manufacturer an email, many times they will send you a new fan with an apology without you needing to send them back anything. Depends on who it is though.
  6. So I just tested the two fans I suspected, it's neither, it's the Hyper 212 Evo fan attached to the heat sink I think :(

Is that new as well? if so CM is a great company and will probably get you a new fan right away. In the mean time, if it bothers you enough, a case fan will probably fit the evo as a temp solution, just to be sure the fan doesn't die mid gaming and hurt the CPU.
  8. Oh it's fine, my temps are still extremely low, it's just more irritating than anything, I can't seem to find their number for support though. I called the one they had on their website and it sent me to a number about talking to hot guys or hot girls, I was like, WTF.
