Switch vs Router's switch!

Hello everyone, this's maybe a newbie question but i wonder if i used a switch rather than using the router's built-in switch will i get a better performance or will it be the same?

It depends on what speed your router LAN ports are compared to the switch. A consumer quality gigabit switch would be very similar to the LAN ports if they are gigabit.
