So I've been trying to decide and I don't know. I need help deciding on a cpu.
I mostly game, and record at the same thing and have 5-6 applications open.
I will have 2 servers that I host and are online most of the time. The servers are not realy that cpu intensive though they use 2-4 gb of ram each... i have 20 gb of ram now...
But i have recently gained a interest in animation so I will start learning this and might need power for that...
So with that said the cpu i was looking at was the i5-3570k but Im not sure now if it will be sufficient. There is a multitude of good reviews for it.. I would rather not to spend the extra 100$ on a i7-3770k. and instead upgrade to a new graphics card. But if I have to I would. Any recommendations ? This is my first build :/

Animation is very cpu intensive. The extra cores would really benefit you if you plan to animate. They will also be helpful since you apparently want to multi-task also.

An overclocked 3570K is one of the most powerful things you can get. If you have the spare money get a 3770K instead since it is hyper-threaded so it has 8 virtual cores instead of the 3570K's 4.

Good choice. To get a high overclock like 4.8 make sure you have a good cooler like a Noctua D14 or a Corsair 100i.
