Hey all, so after lurking here for some time ive put together a build that I think is gonna suit my needs. Im Just gonna be using this build for gaming and maybe some light schoolwork.

I just have two questions. Is this a good choice for a Motherboard? Should I go with something cheaper? And Is my cpu cooler going to be effective enough if I do end up overclocking? I Would only go as high as 4.0Ghz

That looks like a pretty interesting build to me! The only thing is when you add a power supply onto that its going to be over my budget unfortunately. Although, I would probably stick closer to something like the build I posted cause im not sold on amd.

I suggest you go with an intel build for that budget. Go with this one then if you need to get a second graphics card Nvidia is cutting prices come November.

Thank You!! That seems like a really solid Build! just one question do you think its worth it to find a cheaper case and switch out the motherboard to a Asus P8Z77-V LX ATX LGA1155 so I can add an SSD?

That motherboard is the best one for the price that can handle sli, and the P8Z77 isn't compatible anyways. If it was all you'd save is $10. That being said you can switch to a cheaper case and pick up an ssd on black friday or cyber monday. Could also wait till November too to get the graphics card.
