Hello Guys

Recently I have upgraded my parts which include new Ram, Mobo, GPU and SSD for the OS. So because of this new build I decided to do a clean install of windows 7 OS from CD. For some reason during the install in which it performs it's first reboot the computer goes black and instead of completely restarting the fans are on running and just stays there.

So I had no choice but to hold the power button and restart the computer, the OS continued and completed installation. But now every so often the PC crashes, goes into BSOD then blank. It doesn't even restart properly just stays running with black screen. This especially happens if windows is trying to update or If I try to install a program. And when I also try to open a program it'll say file corrupted. Please help i've been trying to search everywhere but can't find a solution!

I would start by checking your ram with memtest86 from HERE. Then I would do a clean installation with only the SSD attached (no HDDs), and I would probably even consider doing a secure erase of the SSD first. I've never had any luck fixing BSODs on a machine that had issues during the OS install.

What parts are you using?

You can download and boot from an optical drive or USB into Parted Magic and then do a secure erase like THIS. And I would disconnect any other drives so that you can't accidentally get a HDD and wipe it.

Parted Magic is freeware and you can get it from HERE and burn to a disk or make a USB using their directions from the link on that page.
