Need some feedback on computer parts

This is my FIRST build. I intend on using it for gaming. I have a couple questions:
1. are all the parts compatible
2. is there any money saving downgrades that don't effect the performance much
3. are the parts good quality
4. any tips for a first time builder

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($325.99 @ NCIX US)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.98 @ Outlet PC)
Thermal Compound: Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver 3.5g Thermal Paste ($6.20 @ Outlet PC)
Motherboard: MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($175.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.98 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 670 4GB Video Card ($299.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Zalman Z11 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.99 @ Microcenter)

Optical Drive: Asus BC-12B1ST/BLK/B/AS Blu-Ray Reader, DVD/CD Writer ($56.23 @ Amazon)

That setup will run any game at 1080P no problem.

However, the Core i7-4770K maybe fast, but the Core i5-4670K would do the job just as good, due to the fact that most games don't support hyperthreading, unless you're editing, which then the extra threads in the Core i7 will come in handy. Save money and get the Core i5-4670K. It still overclocks and walks over games.

Secondly, that Zalman case is rather loud. A friend of mine bought it for the cooling and the fans are loud. I would swap it for this -

NZXT Tempest 410 Midi tower chassis - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/nzxt-case-t410001

Finally, a few pointers. ALWAYS wear an anti-static wrist band, because static can destroy a component by just hovering your statically charged...

Take your time installing the components, especially the CPU. Rushing can cause mistakes and may even damage components.
