OC'ed my i5 4670k, ran AIDA 64 and the comp froze after 6 hours and 45 minute mark. Should i be able to stress it forever or after 5 hours of no problems im fine? Temps stayed in the mid 70's.

OK to use as will it go up in smoke? Sure usable, however it is not a stable O.C. I would back off the O.C. or adjust my parameters till I got 100% stable. Try Intel Burn Test (http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Benchmarks/IntelBurnTest.shtml). Run 10 passes at max and see what goes on. Takes less time and if it goes the 10 you are good to go. 20 passes is the max recommended. You can run the good old Prime also to test the system.

Honestly, Ive had IBT do 50 passes max and passed and failed Prime small FFT after a few hours. Do IBT for a few passes to see if its initially stable and Prime for at least 12 hours. Even then you may find flash player crashes while browsing and games are acting a bit weird, then its time to check the event viewer for WHEA 19s and add a tiny little more voltage until it stops. Overclocking takes a bit of time, but its worth it to get properly stable.

EDIT. Nothing wrong with AIDA either :)

I wouldn't do that..especially not if Haswell because they've been know to die during stress testing with AVX prime.
1st initial: 3 runs IBT.
2nd: 2-3 runs Hyper-Pi 32m
If an overclock passes that, most likely it will hardly ever crash.
All you're doing is degrading your CPU.
