I'm going back and forth on getting a 4670k+Asrock Extreme 4 or 3570k+AsusP8Z77 being $35 less. I'm not a tuner so what I buy is what I plan to keep for at least 3 years. I do not want to spend more than $340 on cpu+mobo.

Here is what I have so far. GPU is not final as I'm waiting on price drops in Oct/Nov. Please help me with my cpu choice and comment on the build. Thank you!

the 3570 is a 1155 cpu that went end of life when the 1150 cpu came out. the 1155 cpu will over clock better then the 4760 but the 4760 mb have more sata six 6 ports and more usb 3.0 ports. if i was buying i go with the newer cpu and mb. it give you one more cpu refresh to drop in if needed. if you can wait i get the next gen e cpu and mb that have support for ddr4 ram that be droping some time next year.

I'm definitely buying this weekend. I forgot to mention in the OP, the cpu+mobo is being bought from Microcenter. Also, what about Asrock Extreme4 vs. Asus Z87-A? Price difference is $5.

That's a great point! My concern with the Asus z87-A is on their list of memory qualified vendors, my ram I've already purchased is not on that list...
