I'm using an Asus Maximus VI mobo and everytime I attempt to boot I make it to the BIOS but then it freezes does anyone have any advice? I only have the essentials plugged in.: The PSU, 1 stick of 8gb RAM, and my power buttons/audio/usb 3.0 hubs plugged in.

Solution
if you using a sound card or wifi card try using another slot. if oyur using a ssd and hd and cd roms try unplugging the cd rom and hd see if system hangs. in the bios make sure the sata ports set to achi not raid or ide. on your usb ports check that only using right now a mouse and keyboard. some devices can pull more voltage then usb can handle some times. check that the io sheild not bent into usb or ethernet port.
in the bios read the cd rom lables. with the newer asus bios there efi cd rom and cd rom. make sure on the main page cd rom is the first boot device. in the bios under advace mode there a boot tab. make sure under cd-rom you have the right drive under cd-rom as drive one and under boot devices have the cd rom set as first device. you can also use a f key at post to change your boot device. if your cd rom having issues reading your dvd use the microsoft iso to usb tool to make a bootable usb stick.
