Computer powers back on after shutdown.

Problem
This happens at random times, right after it powers down after a few minutes it powers back on sometimes hours, sometimes a day. I've been timing how long it takes for my computer to turn itself on for a month. Its definitely random but always turns on after about 1 day.

My Opinion
My wake on lan setting is off also I cleared cmos. Unplugged my case from the motherboard, unplugged and plugged back in all power cables from psu. Did no post check and there was no beeps and powers on normally. I have installed all the latest drivers from the respective websites. All my pc parts are compatible. The only conclusion I can come up with is a faulty motherboard or psu? Unless the cpu or ram could turn on my computer from shut down.
Any suggestions or explanations would help. I am a novice on computers and having this problem with the first computer I built.

Hi,
I have had the same issue. The Problem is your Motherboard ASUS Z87 Pro and its related WLan Software.

The solution is to "Enable ErP in APM" in the BIOS (got this one from here)

Good luck.

Hellow fellows :p . I recently have the same problem. My computer shuts down by itself, and turns on also by itself, sometimes doesent even get to boot. It just gives me the "everything ok" beep, than shuts down. I also can't use the power button.

My pc specs are as follows:

CPU: i7 3770 LGA 1155 (not overclocked)
Graphic card: Sapphire Radeon R9 280x Dual-X
Rams: 2x Kingston 4GB (module name: Kingston ACR512X64D3U13C9G)
Mobo: Acer Aspire M3985
PSU: Thermaltake Berlin 630w 80plus
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1000DM003

Can it be the mobo? Can it be the PSU? any ideas ?
