CPU - i7 4770K 3.5ghz
PSU - Corsair HX 850w
GPU - EVGA GTX 770 2GB
MOBO - MSI Z87-G65 Gaming
RAM - Corsair DDR3 CL9(I think) 8GBx2 1600
I'm running two radiators after my CPU, RX360 and RX240. I do plan on chucking a block for my card when its in stock, and I'm missing one fan sadly for the 240rad haha.

Anyway, I'm looking for beginner guides to overclocking the 4770k, and I'd rather not have to use some fancy software when my motherboard has said software built into it for OCing.
So if anyone can chuck links for beginner guides to OCing, I would love it.

What exactly is CPU Ring Bus? I know about Frequency but haven't heard about Ring Bus often.

In the MSI BIOS, they call it "CPU Cache" You want to set your CPU Cache Ratio to about 35 and CPU Cache volts to 1.2 v.

Good luck!

Question about the stress testing I'm having to do. Could I run Prime 95 for 2 hours just for a simple "Is it stable for short times at 100%?" test, since no CPU would run at 100% for 24 hours? I'd rather run a 24 hour test when I go to sleep. I also remember reading Heaven could be used for a CPU stress test, but from what I've looked at, its a GPU stress tester.

You could run Prime95 for 2 hrs. or maybe run Intel Burn Test for 10 passes for a quicker test.
