I would like to put windows 8 onto my ssd but I already have it installed on my hdd. Where can I delete it. I looked in control panel but could not find anything or is there a way of transferring to my ssd? Help!!

Solution

If you use one of the clone/migration tools, the entirety will be transferred to the SDD.
This assumes that the used space on the existing HDD is smaller than the new SSD.

For instance, if you get a 128GB SSD, your existing data on the C drive (OS+applications+data) should take up no more than ~100GB.

Or:
Reinstall the OS on the SSD (disconnect the HDD while you do this)
Reinstall all your applications
Leave your personal data (music, etc) on the HDD.

Ok I probably sound like a real noob but how do I clone lol? Seems like a more straight forward way rather than reinstalling everything.
