System Specs:
-Windows 7 home premium 64X
-AMD Phenom IIX6 1100T 3.30 GHz
-Ram 8gb
-Radeon HD 6800 series is my GC

So to start im not the most tech savvy person, but i get by. Earlier today I went to play the Battlefield 4 Beta and it told me my graphic driver was out of date so i went to update it but the Catalyst install manager stopped working after i clicked express and hit next. This went on for a while so i looked it up and followed a numerous amount of "fixes" and "solutions" but none of them worked. On top of that when i go to restore to the last point before i deleted my driver from following a "fix" it freezes and i cant even restore. I am beyond frustrated with this problem, and have no other ideas for a way to get around this. Any sort of help is beyond greatly appreciated. And if there is any information that I left out (which i probably did) just ask and ill get that for you.

I have the same problem, the install manager won't respond when it gets to the bit where choosing between Express and Custom. Have you found a fix for this problem yet?

when you uninstalled the old driver did you go to add/remove programs -amd catalyst install manager - click uninstall- all amd drivers- finished uninstalling and went back to desktop and the card was now running on the windows generic vga driver- rebooted back to desktop and the card was still using the generic vga driver- then installed the new driver that you downloaded to a file on the desktop from amd and installed it from there?

also I forgot to add this with there new 14.4 driver most folks over look this in there notes

Before installing this driver, please ensure you have uninstalled the previous driver using the Add/Remove programs option in the Control Panel and also deleted the installation folder for the previous driver. This folder can be found at the following locations:

C:/AMD/support/14-4-win7-win8-win8.1-64-dd-ccc-whql
or
C:/AMD/support/14-4-win7-win8-win8.1-32-dd-ccc-whql
