Computer keeps having random BSoD's and shutdowns

Hi all,

So I have had my computer for over a full year now and it used to work great, but over the past week I had 5 BSoD's and 10 shutdowns. I had dismantled my computer and rebuilt it here in the US, but I had used rubbing alcohol to remove the heatsink (my Corsair H60 original) and use the stock Intel cooler. Now it will randomly shut down but every hardware part is cool CPU, GPU, and HDD is below 40C. System specifications if it helps:

i5-2500k
Stock Intel Cooler (Replaced H60)
Asus P8-Z68 V-LX
MSi GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II (O/C to 1 GHz core clock)
Kingston 16Gb (4x4Gb) DDR3-1600 MHz RAM
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6GB/s HDD
Cooler Master GX650W PSU

Also, is it possible my computer mouse or my power supply has been causing the problem?

My current mouse is a Corsair M60 but it now refuses to work unless I re-plug it into a USB 3.0 port and when it does work, none of the extra buttons eg. sniper button, DPI sensor, etc. works, only the scroll wheel and Left Mouse Button and Right Mouse Button works. Also, the DPI LED display only lights up the top bar, not the middle or bottom bar and it doesn't allow me to update the firmware on it.

I had used the CM GX 650 Watt PSU for my build but this year I started seeing bad reviews about it. Is it possible my power supply could have caused a part to fail?

Any input is appreciated,

USB issues are just another symptom of an unstable computer...

It's possible indeed that your PSU is not working as it should, you could check voltage levels with HWMonitor or AIDA64.

However first thing you should do is to restore your GPU and any other OC to stock settings and see if that gets the problem away.
