Hi, I have A new asus fm2+ motherboard a passive heat sink so no fans. The system won't start, my motherboard has a green light indicator so I don't think it is a dead motherboard. When I push the start button I hear a click sound from the psu PLEASE HELLP!!!

You should have your 24 pin plugged into the motherboard - the 1st picture is simply clarifying that he is talking about the 8 pin connector and not the 24 pin connector, it's not trying to imply you shouldn't use it, just he isn't talking about it in that instance

That may be a cpu_fan error warning but 7 beeps is a general hardware fault code and doesn't tell much - keep going through the steps from the troubleshooting link to see if you can isolate what's causing it
