Getting bad fps in demanding games.

I have been having this problem ever since I've had this computer and can't seem to find what the problem is. I've gotten a new GPU, and CPU in the past 3 months and its still not up to par with Battlefield 3, and in the Battlefield 4 Beta that I really want to play with good fps. I would appreciate it if anyone could help me fix this problem. Posting system specs below.


System Specs:
GPU: Gigabyte HD 7970 OC Edition
CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1045t @ 2.7 GHz
Ram: 8 GB
Mobo: Asus M4A79XTD EVO
PSU: Corsair GS 600W
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500GB

The Battlefield 4 Beta is extremely buggy and un-optimized, don't expect to run that ultra until a driver release. Doing a clean driver install can help and OC'ing your CPU would have potential to help you A LOT.

Let me try that real quick.
Edit: I tried this and reinstalled my drivers, didn't help at all. I'm not really comfortable OC'ing myself, so I'm going to see if a family member will help me with that.
