Hello everyone, this price is attractive for 280 and gaming ins't to bad out the stock box. What do you think this newegg combo will deliver smoothly out of the box at Hi def vs a Intel Haswell Pentium/Core I3 combo

Here's a newegg combo for 280$ after rebate deal
Its a Amd 4.1 Gigahertz Richland A10 6800K CPU unlocked multipler
Asus Mobo with 4 usb 3.0's dvi and hdmi
8 gig Amd DDR 1600 Ram
Free Sims Game

Here's an Intel Z87 Haswell combo for 280$.

I have more upgrade potential with Intel I7 and socket 1150 vs FM2 as kaveri cpu will require a newer socket.

I would have to spend more $ on a gpu with Intel. I like Corsair memory better. I think Intel wins this pick there's also micro atx Intel H81 boards that would shave 50$ off and I could put towards the cpu and get a I3.
I do have a extra Radeon 7770 avaiable so really there the same price.

Gonna look at the benchmarks but I might go ahead and buy the Intel setup.

I would say the best option at that price range would be the amd FM2 build because it has way stronger graphics than the intel alone.

But that 7770 may be a bit stronger and push you towards intel, do look at those benchmarks

I would at least get a low end I5 if I was you.

Corsair memory is good stuff.

Do you have the rest of the parts for the build? such as the case, hard drive, operating system and power supply and cd/dvd drive?

Dunno what pathway to go > Intel I would need a gpu and that would break up my current crossfire setup but I would gain an upgradeable sweet desktop pc to add to my already 3 that I have and won't use that often OR Amd = A htpc throw box thats cheaper I can use in my car, htpc, gaming over friends house. The Intel rig I could probably get a small case for just would need a gpu that could fit a mini itx case and I would have to change the case when I planned on upgrading.

There both the same price I wish the Amd setup cost 100 less with the 20 rebate and I would no doubt take the Amd setup. How can I pass up the Intel performance for the same price and I get to upgrade to an I7 down the line and newer DDR 3.
