I have an ASUS: N76VZ R701V-V4G-T1155H,
I have added a 128GB Samsung 840Pro SSD in the second drive bay and it is seen by windows fine. (originally just a 1TB drive)

I would like to use this SSD for windows(probably change to 7 but if i cnat windows 8 with a start menu will do)
The Problem is that i do not know how to boot from a DVD or USb etc. to load a new OS. in the boot priority menu, i was expecting a list of installed options, however it seems to be an add your boot option by typing it in deal, which i have no idea what to type in to boot from a CD or usb.

I am not at all familiar with this type of boot menu :(

Can someone please suggest how i should go about installing windows (preferably 7) on this SSD and use it successfully.
There is nothing of importance on the Factory HDD so formatting is fine.
I can give BIOS pics if it helps.

Thanks in advance, Scott

I tried the Boot Menu but did not get anywhere more.
Probably planning to install from a USB.

Here are some Pictures of the bios if you can figure out what it is looking for, Thanks.

It seems i have made a rookie mistake and the problem is now solved, I Think.
The Bios would only see the boot options when the media is inserted, eg. the DVD or USB with the installation files for the OS. to once this media was in, those options appeared in the bios as a list... what i wanted.
I was expecting to select a type of media to look to boot from (eg. i select CD Drive and THEN put the CD in and install)

Thanks for your help and i hope it is fixed now!
