CrossFire 7950 performing worse

I ran driver cleaner/sweeper and got the latest driver from AMD's site for 7950.

Now all my games are performing worse than they did with a single card. I got it to perform "correctly" for about 5-10 minutes when I was running Final Fantasy XIV Benchmark in full screen - I was getting close to double the score/framerate than I did on a single card.

But my computer froze.

When playing Crisis 3, and even EverQuest II in crossfire, I do not get any FPS difference in windowed mode vs. full screen - and my FPS ranges from 10-30, staying mostly around 22. And this is on medium and high settings on both games. It just doesn't make sense.

GPU-Z says my video card tops out at 75C in windowed mode, somethings weird because it's not even performing nearly as well like it did on a single card.

I will run a log running one of these games and post it... but on FFXIV it crashes so I can't save a log.

edit: ran gpu-z log while benchmarking FFXIV @ 1080p max settings. Got a score that represented avg FPS of over 100. It froze before it could complete. GPU-Z log shows temps never got above 69C. Avg Load % is 60, with a couple spots at 80-100%.

Not entirely sure what the problem might be, sounds like drivers but it seems like youve tried that. My next guess would be the power supply, but that might be a long shot, since I have a friend running CFX 6870's on a 620W Antec.
