Also, it's typical to hang the switch off the router, then put the computers on the switch.

+1^, without reading the full question which is cut off, I'm guessing the issue is that you have things wired wrong. Unless you need to have some custom setup, the network diagram would be Router > Switch > Computers, not Router > Computer > Switch > More Computers.
