Hello, so today I just turned on my computer like normally and noticed that I actually got a BSOD but I was pretty sure it was due to my registry errors( havent had a BSOD in 2 months). So I did the registry clean through ccleaner and no more BSOD's so far. However, when I started to play my fave game LoL I noticed low fps drops from like 70~90 from what I used to play to like 30~42. Then I noticed my Drivers werent updated so I did and made sure my GPU was on at all times. I used the GPU stateviewer and it said it was on but my FPS is still low. I tried another game which is Kritika Online, and I also get low fps there when I was perfectly fine yesterday.

My specs are:
Alienware M14 X R1
Nvidia Geforce GT 555M
Intel core i7
Windows 7 Home Premium
Integrated graphics card: Intel Graphics HD3000
BIOS: A08

I made sure that all my refresh rates were at 60 hz, since this was the problem once in all of my display settings. My GPU is being used while playing games and not my integrated graphics card and yet I still can't fix the problem! HELP PLEASE! Im 100% sure its not the power plan as im using the one ive always used. Please any help appreciated !

Ha ha, I know your pain. When I first started using CCleaner I didnt use the backup option, but then I needed it one day and I've always made a backup ever since. XD

windows restore may work, but yes, use it as a last resort.

Just check what your GPU suage is and we'll go from there, I think that's the best plan of action. =)

Okay, can you see hwat your GPU usage is, using GPU-Z or some other GPU monitoring spftware?

If GPU usage is at 100% there is something funny going on, but if GPU usage is at 50% or something low, then the GPU isnt being fully utilised, possibly due to high temps or an unstable overclock?

SO temperature isnt a problem then. That's good. =)

Just another thought, when you cleaned your registry through CCleaner did you make a backup of the registry? If you did try rolling back to before you cleaned the registry and see if your FPS is still low. It may be that CCleaner deleted something somehwere along the line that is causing the performance drop.

Ok, so I started doing the GPU-Z tech power up and checked my GPU load and Memory controller load, and it says that the maximum it reaches is 99% (when it spikes suddenly) and the avg usage is 17%. as for memory load its 66% max and 8% avg

Ok so apparently, when I play LoL with uncapped frames the gpu load is at 90~95%. When I play with 60 FPS capped the gpu load is at 40~50%... So which should I use? Also, it seems the problem just disappeared. I've been playing LoL just fine so far but I'm not entirely sure

Just try to see if your card it's @16x. It also happened to me, it was running @1x, i just removed it from the pci-e slot and put it back again, after some dust removal :D
good luck!
