Will the FX 6350/6300 fit in the Asus Crosshair IV Formula?

So yeah,
I can trade my i3 3225 + MSI B75MA-P45 against an Asus Crosshair IV Formula + Phenom IV 965 cpu.
So will the 6350/6300 fit?
If so, do I have to underclock the cpu?

You would need a crosshair v MB for the FX line. You may be able to run them in the 890 chipset crosshair iv, however, the power saving features would not be totally available and the VRMs are not as good, so you couldn't OC as well. Though the BIOS does not support them, so there would likely be issues there as well.

No you cannot. If you are looking to upgrade, an ivy i5 is your best option for the money.
