Virtual Ubuntu (Main Computer Problem)

Hello!

I'm currently having a small issue with ubuntu virtual pc. I'm trying to connect to my host PC, but it keeps asking for my password while my host nor ubuntu doesn't have a password. My host PC is windows 8.

What I have tried:
- Disabled the sharing password
- Removed Host password
- Removed Ubuntu Password
- Restarted both host&virtual ubuntu

Up to this point, I do not know what else to try. If anyone knows a solution to this problem, I would be glad to hear it. Thanks!

It seems you're misunderstanding vrumor. What i'm basically doing is using a software called "Virtual Box". And we need to connect virtual xp & ubuntu on a virtual network (workgroup) for a school project. In some way it's like a LAN between the PC's. I'm able to share files between the pc's, but can't connect to my host (main computer) without been prompted for password.

If anyone knows a solution to that, let me know. Thanks!
