I have 2 PC's

1. ASUS Z87 deluxe/ i7/ 16GB ram/ titan graphic / win7pro on SSD / 1tb HDD storage.

2. MSi Z77A G41/ i3 /4gb ram/ GT630 GPU / win7 on 320gb HDD.

It is clear pc #1 has higher spec.

Can someone tell we why PC#2 (os on HDD) boots & shuts down faster than PC#1 (os on SSD)?

Couple questions.
How much programs are running on PC #1 and #2 ?
how full is PC one SSD?
Boot times can depend lot what bios "stuff" are on and what are off.
Same goes with windows. More programs you boot up at start longer it takes.
Maybe PC #2 is so much simpler that it works faster on start and shutdown.
My PC do have 2 240GB SSD RAID 0 and 2 3TB HDD + 1TB HDD it takes about 2s to shut down.
But I have 3930k. Can it be just that Z87 do have iGPU? Or more memory on board and gpu? Hard to tell for sure.
Maybe Z87 needs bit "tune up" :D

What Axl said.... it can be something like a service taking too long to start up, or a driver conflict. Startup issues I've found can be hard to figure out. Especially the ones where the system kind of hand for a few seconds in one spot (or longer).

First thing to look is what sata connector is SSD using.
Deluxe do have 10 sata connectors.
Intel® Z87 chipset :
6 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), yellow
Support Raid 0, 1, 5, 10
Supports Intel® Dynamic Storage Accelerator, Intel® Smart Response Technology, Intel® Rapid Start Technology, Intel® Smart Connect Technology*3
ASMedia® ASM1061 controller : *4
4 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), dark brown

Lots intel stuff. Best load new drivers to SSD. And new SSD firmware.
Maybe new motherboard drivers as well.
That can help.
