Alternative graphics cards to Radeon HD6570

Since it seems no local retailers have the card I'm looking for (Sapphire Radeon HD6570 as per this forum's recommendation) are there any good alternatives in the same price range?

Well it's quite an old card. I notice it's around 60-70 USD so why not move up a generation and try HD 7750 at around 80-90? It would definitely play whatever you throw at it (within reason) at lower resolutions for an additional 20 bucks. Also, DDR5 is heaps better DDR3.

You could also wait for the newer AMD Radeon R7 250 at the same price range as the HD 7750 to be launched soon.

The thing is, it's an old PC and I really don't want to spend on it anymore than I have to. It really doesn't have to do much - my old card Geforce GT220 matched my needs just fine. Hell, I finished Tomb Raider and Skyrim (several times) on it. Sure the settings were set to low-medium, but I didn't mind. It was a crappy card but it got the job done.

So I just need a replacement and the 6570 was recommended as a good, reliable card. Since I can't find it however, I'd appreciate suggestions for a similar one.

Much of the online stores have discontinued selling these older cards but if you can find one at a local store, you can pretty much get what you need. Try looking for that same HD 6570, then try an HD 6750 (about ten bucks higher). Maybe even an HD 6670 (around the same).

In my place I could get away with buying a 512MB HD 5750 DDR5 for $44. Hoping you can find the same.

These cards are on the same level as the 6570 (Assuming yours is GDDR5). If you can find any of these you will get the same performance.

HD 2900 XT, HD 3870, HD 5570 (GDDR5)
8800 GTS 640 MB, 9600 GT, GT 240 (GDDR5)

Slightly better;
HD 4830, HD 5670, HD 6670 (GDDR5), HD 7730 (GDDR5)
8800 GT 512 MB, 9800 GT, GT 545 (DDR3), GT 640 (DDR3)

Slightly worse;
HD 3850 512 MB, HD 4670, HD 5570 (DDR3), HD 6570 (DDR3), HD 6670 (DDR3), HD 7730 (DDR3)
8800 GS, 9600 GSO, GT 240 (DDR3)
