This is my first time building a PC.

I know just about nothing about computer so this is very confusing and difficult for me.

My Part List

Because I lack a disk drive I have done this using a USB and following these directions.

The first time ever installing it everything worked out just fine. However running into problems later from my own inexperience and lack of knowledge I quickly royally boned everything.

Now too get you up too speed. I had a video problem. I reset the CMOS battery too fix it. I also the screwed up my Windows 8 data turning the PC off while it was doing some soft of back track where it was trying to revert too a point where I didn't screw everything up. Thus making things worse.

I decided too start from square one.

I have completed the following.changes

1: In the BIOS screen I have

- A: Ensured the USB was the first Boot Option.
- B: Changed the SATA mode too "AHCI Mode"
- C: Changed my HDD External SATA Port too Enabled (don't know if this was a good thing or not.)

2: Upon reaching the Windows 8 Installation page I could see two thing in the custom install

"Driver 0 Partition 1: System Reserved" or "Drive 0 Partition 2"

I began the processing for Drive 0 Partition and it completed after about 2 hours. However while I was at a black screen with the windows symbol on it saying "Applies Updates" or something like that my house lost power.

The information crapped on itself and now I need to do the install again.

However upon attempting the install I get "Windows cannot install required files. The File may be corrupt of missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation.

Error code: 0x80070570"

In a attempt to fix it. I used the old Windows 8 ISO and replaced it on my USB drive just like I did the first time hoping it would fix it. No luck. So I made a new ISO and tried again. Still nothing. Then I derped in the Windows 8 custom installer menu and clicked "delete" on Driver 0 Partition 1: System Reserved

Now it says Driver 0 unallocated space - 350.0 MB

and Drive 0 Partition 1 - 931.2GB

What do I do from here to get where I want?

Remember. This is a new computer. So I have no need or desire to save anything I had done before all of this. I just want this OS working so I can start on my Drivers.

Care to Clarify (remember no experience with comptuers.)

I don't know what I should do in Advance Mode as you haven't given me information on what to do with it. I also don't know what "hirem boot" is.

Basucally what you need to do is a custom install and on the 'Where do you want to install to' screen click the disk option. You then can delete the existing partitions by selecting them one at a time and then clicking on delete.

Once they are deleted you'll be at
Drive 0 (Unallocated)

Select that and click Next.

* by "Selecting" I mean you click on it just once to hi-lite it in blue.
