Realtek ALC887 codec
High Definition Audio
2/4/5.1/7.1-channel
* To configure 7.1-channel audio, you have to use an HD front panel audio module and enable the multi-channel audio feature through the audio driver.

It's not a great gaming board.

ALC 887 is not bad for 5.1 with 192KHz sample rate and 90/97db SNR for input/output.

This would be good for gaming, but borderline for music/movies if you're outputting to a HiFi theatre system.
