Hello all,

I just bought my new MB. I plan to get a 2nd Sapphire 7970 GPUs in a few weeks (after the R9 series comes out).

In order to get this setup properly, what steps do I need to take? Do I just install the new GPU, boot, install the same driver (which I guess would happen automatically) and start using it?

I know they need to have the crossfire cable connected first.

Solution
Uninstall the driver, turn off the computer and install the new gpu and the crossfire bridge, turn it on then install the newest driver and the CAP profiles, restart, open CCC and make sure crossfire is enabled. When I set mine up it was saying I had to install a bridge even though I did so I turned it around and then it worked.

Solution
Open MSI afterburner and make sure it is showing gpu 1 and gpu2 usage. Run a benchmark or a game and see that both gpus are being used. Crossfire is ONLY used in fullscreen programs so if you run anything windowed crossfire won't be used.
