I have a netgear wndr4300 wireless router and every time I plug it up the power light stays solid for a few seconds and then it starts to flash. I've tried connect it with my network but every time I go to internet explorer. It says page cannot be displayed. I have called netgear tech person and told them what was the problem and they told me that the firmware needs to be updated. Can anyone help me out by getting a connection to update the router?

make sure its plugged in properly, you need to connect your modem to yellow port on the back. wait for it to grab an ip address, and you should be up and running.

did you try to install any firmware updates by yourself before, like ddwrt? If so sound liek you may have a bricked router. If not, are you sure its ok, there's a power button on the back.
