How Can I Create a Mic Mute/Unmute Key on my Keyboard?

I own a Razer Kraken Pro headset, which unfortunately does not have a mic mute/unmute button built into it, or on the wire itself. I am constantly getting interrupted by my family when I'm trying to play games with friends, and my friends can hear everything my family says to me, which I don't want them to. Is there a way to set a key on my keyboard to quickly switch the mic into mute/unmute mode, without having to manually go into my 'recording devices' settings outside the game I'm playing and switch it off the hard way? I have Windows 8, and my gaming keyboard does have additional macro keys available, so is it possible?

Thanks

Here ya go, sorry for the delay, I wanted to try and figure it out myself but I don't have time right now to sort through the whole CMD reference. That program should do it for you. When you set the Keyboard Shortcut, make it something complex you will never use, then simply configure a macro to use that key sequence (so they use CTRL + SHIFT + M, just have the keyboard macro execute that or whichever sequence you select).

This is better and a bit more succinct: http://www.nirsoft.net/articles/mute_volume_hotkey.html

Is it possible to set 2 different combinations for mic unmute? So say I have a PTT button in game as caps lock and a PTT for teamspaeak set to mouse 4, is this doable?

Thanks
