Hello people. Today I bought an SSD for my PC. It is a Samsung 840 Pro 128GB. Since I am not able to migrate my previous system I did a clean install of windows to the SSD. Is there a way to save me the trouble of installing again tons of programs right from the beginning? I have bought most of my games though steam so I do not have a hard copy of the games and it would take days to download them and install them (not to mention my extremely slow ADSL connection due to technical issues I've had last months). It is a pain in the ass and I am looking to find some way to avoid this. I would be glad if you could help!

I don't think that copy/paste are going to save you from the hell of installing all programs, but with Steam games, you can back up the data on dvd files and then restore them on the new system, you obviusly need to save them on the HDD you're going to use, it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes for each game!
What I do, is that when I download a game from Steam, inmediatly back it up and save it on my files partition in case any problem happens :)

Yeah. I have never used the backup feature of steam. I will look into it. I don't really need to copy paste anything because I will be installing most of my programs to my 1T HDD. On the SSD I will keep only critical software. Do you know if I can do the same with Origin? I've been playing Mass Effect 3 a lot and the game + all the DLCs are 25GBs!!!!

It is actually pretty easy! I can't recall the exact process but it is on the first menu :)
About Origin, you should check the option to keep installation files and you can back them up too just by copying the files, then pasting on the new installation folder and finally running the game! Remember to back up the savegames too!
