So I don't think my Phenom II x4 955 BE is cutting it Minimum settings or maximum settings, doesn't matter, I'm getting 15-35 fps and I know the problem isn't my 7870. I know just about any 4th Gen i5 will kick the crap out of my 955 but how much power do I need? The highest i want to go is a 4670K with a z87 mobo and that looks a little pricey. Do I need to OC this thing? If I go for the non K 4670 I can save a bit of money not needing a Z mobo or I can go lower and get something like a 4430 and keep this upgrade down to about $255.
Is the added performance and OC potential really worth paying an extra $50 for the cpu and an Extra $50 for a Z87 Mobo?
