Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue at all? Here's my computers specs off the bat;
1 x ASUS P7P55D DELUXE P55 MOTHERBOARD
1 x Intel Core i7 860 CPU [2.8GHz, Retail, Socket 1156]
1 x Coolermaster HAF RC-932 Black ATX Case
1 x G.SKILL DDR3 1600 PC12800 4GB (2GB x 2)
1 x Corsair 650W TX Series PSU
1 x Zalman CNPS9900-NT - LGA 1156 / 1366 Ready!
1 x Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E 2.0 x 16 Graphics Card
1 x Sony AD-5240S-0B 24x Internal DVD±R/RW Drive - Black
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit - OEM
and the new ssd drive;
240GB Intel 530 Series,SATA III
So, I've installed windows 7 fine and it boots to desktop great. I've installed all the windows updates (painful) but as soon as I install my graphics driver, it looks like everythings fine, I check device manager and it's picking up geforce gtx 460, i reboot, it gets to the starting windows animation - it looks like the login page is about to load (crucially though i dont see my cursor or anything) and the screen goes black and the machine reboots going to system recovery where the machine wont boot until i roll back the driver installation.
Im at my wits end with it - I've tried updating my mobos bios and drivers for everything. Tried changing between ide and ahci mode in the bios and it just wont boot into windows with the display drivers installed. Tried older drivers too.
So I thought i might have friend my gcard but i plugged in my old sata disk and the machine boots fine and the graphics card is working as normal. I've run various checks on the solid state drive and no bad sectors or dodgyness has been reported. Seems like the ssd and geforce dont like each other for some reason.
Any help would be massively appreciated - thanks so much in advance!
