R9-290X or X-Fire my 7850?

Title says it all. R9-290X rumored price of $599 worth it? Or wait till the R7 and R9 series are released and just go with a discounted 7850 and X-Fire my current setup?

Hi - until you know the performance and price of the 290x can't answer the question.
The $599 is rumored and the performance is rumored to be >gtx780 to Titan. But,
it's all rumor.

Personally, i would sell the 7850 & go with the best single GPU I could afford,
presumably the R9-290X. But, CF 2 7850's will be your cheapest upgrade.

Wait until reviews are up for the new cards and see how they actually perform. At present, we don't know how the new cards will actually perform and can't provide proper advice until such information is available.
