Can I run Just Cause 2? (Windows 8)

Okay, so I'm running Windows 8 (clearly) and I have:

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card
8 GB of ram

Um, not sure what else you would need to know. I just have heard some people can run it, and some people can not, so I'm just looking for some clarification.

well, this is the system requirements:
CPU: Dual-core CPU with SSE3 (Athlon 64 X2 4200 / Pentium D 3GHz)
RAM: 2 GB
OS: Microsoft Windows Vista/7 (Windows XP is unsupported)
Video Card: DX10 compatible graphics card with 256 MB of memory (Nvidia GeForce 8800 series/ ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro)
DirectX version: Microsoft DirectX 10
Sound Card: Yes
Free Disk Space: 10GB of free drive space

I've run it just fine on Windows 8, if your having issues, you can try compatibility mode

So why should you not be able to run it? The hardware is good enough. Find the .exe or the program file for it click properties and select compatibility for windows7

When Windows 8 was in developer preview, Just Cause 2 worked fine(seemed to load a bit slow, but it have been early drivers.).

Only use the compatibility mode if you are having problems it is easy if you have too. Some people are playing it with 8 and others are having problems for what ever reason.

I've had no issues with any game in Steam with Windows 8
I use it for most of my day to day uses (haven't updated my signature thing that says Windows 7)
But it should work fine... its Windows

One last thing: It says I have to have DirectX 10. That's just a driver right? I have that, I think. I should have that? I think I have that. Help, I'm not smart. Also, I don't have a sound card, would that be a problem, or would the sound just be bad?

It is a part of Windows Vista/7/8. You are good. Have fun and destroy everything you can

If you have it from steam, Steam will ensure you have any needed software installed on the games first run as well.

Yes you should have that or better DX11 which is backwards compatible with it. Your onboard sound qualifies as sound card.
