Hi, for some reason none of the fan controls are working on my motherboard. Here is my current build:
ASUS Sabertooth z87
Intel i7-4770k
MSI GTX 770 Lightning
Corsair TX850M PSU
Corsair H80i CPU Cooler
8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1866 MHz
I made a post yesterday about how my CPU was running at a much higher temperature than expected, and today I noticed something. When performing stress tests, the fans on my H80i barely increase in RPM to compensate for the increase in heat. At 4.2GHz running at ~1.2v the CPU hits 100c when running prime95, which is far hotter than it should get at that voltage with this cooling system.
If I plug a fan into the chassis fan ports, they don't spin at all and aren't detected by the motherboard in the BIOS. Also, I have a Corsair H80i installed on my CPU and it is not increasing its fan speeds when the CPU is under heavy loads which leads me to believe that the CPU fan port is also not functioning correctly. However, I have tested multiple ports on the motherboard with multiple fans which work perfectly fine on other computers and they don't work at all.
Any ideas?
